Rauschenberg Foundation
The Robert Rauschenberg Foundation asked Mayday to develop a flexible branding system that could give each of the organization’s many activities – from authentication to grants, artist-in-residency programs to public events – a level of autonomy while not deviating from the core goal of honoring the artist’s legacy and personal philanthropic efforts. Mayday crafted a branding system that foregrounds Rauschenberg’s iconic signature and an indexical color system that could be utilized across print and web applications to give each program type it’s own identity. The end result is a beautiful collateral set that highlights Robert Rauschenberg’s personal exuberance while giving the foundation’s robust programming schedule an orderliness it had previously lacked.
